Excited for #ShareSymposium: Be the Change this September? Join our pre-talks!
ShareSymposium offers a community and platform for everyone interested in the global partnership to reduce inequality in art and culture. We provide research, knowledge, good examples, live music and urgent conversations in a relevant context. Welcome – leaders, arts practitioners, decision makers, educators, students.
This autumn, more specifically on September 16th, the next symposium will take place at the venues of our partner the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. As a warmup we invite you to conversations where we focus on artistic communication, co-creation, creative technology, ensemble development and interdisciplinary exploration. The talks are conducted digitally and will be held in English. The first talk takes place on March 11th.
This is The Decade of Action – Be the Change.
#ShareSymposium: Talk 1 – Music & Communication.
Date and time: March 11th at 10:30 – 12:00 am CET
Theme: Music and Communication.
Content: The conversation is based on ShareMusic’s artistic lab at the Gothenburg Opera house in 2019. The lab included musicians and singers who had previously participated in the opera Shanghai. The lab focused on investigating voice, communication, and co-creation under the direction of Stephen Langridge who also directed Shanghai. How do we communicate in a creative process when everyone does not have access to words and language?
Nigel Osborne – Composer, Human Rights Activist and Professor Emeritus, Edinburgh University
Stephen Langridge – Artistic Director, Glyndebourne
Sophia Alexandersson – Director and Artistic Director, ShareMusic & Performing Arts
Joakim Ragnarsson – Artist Shanghai
Registration: Register via this form. The form will open in a new window.
Accessibility: The talk is conducted on Zoom in English and live captioned to English. Our plan is to make the material available with Swedish subtitles before the symposium in September.
In the registration form you can let us know if you need any further help or interpretation. We want everyone to feel welcome and will do our best to adapt our digital events.
