In the beginning of the year we set to work on Mondgewächse and a lot of things have happened, mainly on the technical side. That includes the development of the new interface by Patricia Alessandrini and her colleagues at Goldsmiths. During the ensembles first gathering in Gothenburg where the composer met up with Gothenburgs Interactive Institute new ideas and technical details were added to the instrument setting of the piece as well.
A lot of input is also coming from the In:fluence Ensemble and Gagegoo!. Mondgewächse will be an interaction between different art forms, that are very diverse themselves, technique and human bodies.
So what has happened so far? What interfaces will be used and how many? Find out more about the production of Mondgewächse and the latest developments in the creative process. Listen to a short interview with composer Patricia Alessandrini.
Taking the next step with Mondgewächse
We’ve decided that it is really about using the body to perform, says Patricia Alessandrini.
