Playful - Creative - Co-creative

In our work with music technology, we have developed our own concept that we call MMK — Mobile Music Kit. It's a box that contains a dozen music technology instruments, a mixer table and a speaker. In short, the MMK has everything you need to discover new and exciting instruments and offers the opportunity to play and create music in ways that are completely different from what most people are used to.

During a workshop with MMK, participants will creatively explore how technology opens up opportunities for everyone to participate and create together, regardless of their background, experience or disability. The focus is entirely on creative and collective creation, providing space for inspiration and new expressions. With MMK we can meet anywhere — in a music hall or classroom, on a stage, in a church — we start from the unique conditions and possibilities of each occasion.

During an MMK workshop, we have ongoing conversations about and provide practical examples of inclusive creative work that is appropriate for the target group. An MMK workshop is for everyone. We always tailor the workshop to each group's circumstances.

We have three different versions of our MMK workshop, but of course you can contact us with your own ideas too!

MMK-Basic

  • Participants get to explore the instruments in a playful way. Together we lay the foundation for a piece of music.
  • No prior knowledge needed

MMK-Immersion

  • We immerse ourselves more in the instruments and create a piece of music together. The piece will be repeatable and eventually performable
  • No prior knowledge is required.
  • Participants are encouraged to bring their own instruments, if any

MMK-Advanced

  • As MMK-Immersion, with the addition that we play the piece in front of schoolmates or colleagues, for instance, and hold subsequent audience discussions for reflection and knowledge sharing.
  • No prior knowledge is required.
  • Participants are encouraged to bring their own instruments, if any
